There is a startup called Zero Mass Water with already $1 billion funded by Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, that is creating solar panels to pull clean drinking water from the air.
Clean water out of the air?
Yes, that is correct. This new technology uses sunlight to extract water from air vapor that is turned to liquid after sterilization. This process can pull up to 2 to 5 liters a day and stores it in a reservoir that can connect to a home faucet. According to Business Insider, Zero Mass Water has also developed a sensor to monitor the quality of the drinking water.
The company first launched the panels in 2015 and have already installed them in 18 different countries, including Lebanon and the US.
This is pretty exciting tech and Fender Wells will continue to follow the company!
